Key Facts DTIC-UPF
The 21st century is the era of the information and communication technology engineers. Physical infrastructure is still important, but it is digital infrastructure that reigns supreme. Today’s true highways are the fiber optics that criss-cross the planet, the true local roads are the electromagnetic waves of WiFi systems. The awful Covid-19 crisis has made clearer than ever the critical importance of technology, not only in terms of connectivity, but as an enabler of education, healthcare, and cultural activities. The Severo Ochoa and María de Maeztu programme helps to take the frontiers of such cutting-edge research even further.
