DESCRIPTION

As part of the European Project Office supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, IMDEA Materials Institute seeks a Project Manager to join the Projects and Technology Department. The selected candidate will give support to the Project Management Office (PMO). The candidate should be a proactive, dynamic, self-motivated, and collaborative person with good communication skills.

The position's main responsibilities will be:

Provide support to researchers in all aspects of the R&D proposal preparation process (detect and communicate funding opportunities, presence at events, development of project ideas, building project consortiums and proposal writing and review).
Management and administrative reporting of ongoing projects in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.

REQUIREMENTS

- MSc degree in science or engineering (ideally in materials science or engineering). PhD degree will be valued.

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position:

Experience in financial reporting of competitive EU, National and regional R&D projects.
Experience in proposal writing at the EU level and providing support in coordinating EU projects will be highly regarded.
Experience in using IDINET or other ERP for Project Management will be highly regarded.
Medium to high level of MS Excel.

- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

- Strong communication skills.

CONDITIONS

Employment contract with full Social Security coverage.

Gross annual salary range between 23.000 € - 30.000 € depending on previous experience and valuable skills.
