The Computational Biology Group led by Prof. Antonio del Sol at CIC bioGUNE in Bilbao, Spain, seeks a highly skilled and motivated Ph.D. candidate to work on an exciting project that aims at developing integrative network-based computational approaches at the single-cell level to identify key signaling pathways involved in tissue regeneration in different systems, including the liver and nervous systems.
The Computational Biology Group (CBG) aims to establish a solid infrastructure in developing theoretical framework for computational modeling on biomedical problems, especially in the area of network biology. The CBG group will closely interact with leading national and international experimental labs with a particular interest in stem cell research and regenerative medicine.
Requirements of the ideal candidate:
• Master degree in bioinformatics, computer science, engineering, physics or a related discipline. • Strong computational skills. • Prior experience in mathematical modelling is strongly desired.
Applications should contain the following documents:
• A detailed curriculum vitae. • Cover letter mentioning the reference number. • Names and Addresses of two or three referees.
