IMDEA Materials Institute is a public research organization founded in 2007 by Madrid’s regional government to carry out research of excellence in Material Science and Engineering by attracting talent from all over the world to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment. IMDEA Materials has grown rapidly since its foundation and currently includes more than 120 researchers from 22 nationalities and has become one of the leading research centers in materials in Europe which has received the María de Maeztu seal of excellence from the Spanish government. Description
IMDEA Materials seeks a Project Manager to join its Projects and Technology Department. The selected candidate will support this department's Project Management Office (PMO). The position's main duties will be:

Support to researchers in all aspects of the R&D proposal preparation process (detect and communicate funding opportunities, presence at events, development of project ideas, build project consortiums, support proposal writing and review proposals) for funding schemes at both international and national levels (Horizon Europe, Spanish state research agency (AEI), Madrid regional government, etc.)
Management and administrative reporting of ongoing grants in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
Support the Technical Secretariat of the Spanish Technological Platform of Advanced Materials and Nanomaterials (MATERPLAT)

Requirements
Minimum four years of experience in a similar position. Experience in proposal writing for EU framework programmes (Horizon Europe, H2020, FP7, etc.) will be a plus. Training in project management, grant writing and reporting will also be a plus.
MSc degree in science or engineering (ideally in Materials Science and Engineering). PhD degree will be a plus.
Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
Be a proactive, self-sufficient and cooperative person with good communication skills.
Medium to high level of Microsoft Excel.
Experience using ERP software (SAP, etc.).

Conditions
Full-time contract. Gross annual salary between € 28.000 - 36.000 depending on experience and skills.

Flexible working schedule and excellent working environment. Possibility of partial telework.

Employment contract with full Social Security coverage.
